The courses Essentials 4 Data Support and GDPR 4 Data Support offer an accessible introduction for those starting in the field of research data management support.

We are working closely together with existing networks of data and RDM professionals. In this way, we can ensure that the training offered are aligned with the reality and easily findable, and that they remain relevant. We promote knowledge sharing in the community and encourage professionals to share their experience and expertise.

Dutch Data Prize
Every two years, the Dutch Data Prize is awarded to an individual or a team which makes reusable research data available in a repository. The prize is a valuable acknowledgement of the contribution by researchers to their field and the principles of FAIR data.

Essentials 4 Data Support
Essentials for Data Support course is an introductory course designed for professionals entering the field of research data management (RDM) support. This hybrid course equips participants with knowledge about tools, best practices, and support mechanisms for effectively assisting researchers in managing their data.
The full course includes interactive sessions with experts, peer learning with participants and coaches and hands-on assignments to help participants develop a strong understanding of the RDM landscape in the Netherlands.
GDPR 4 Data Support
GDPR 4 Data Support is an introductory course designed for data supporters who want to understand more about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the context of research and want to strengthen their role in protecting personal data.
The course will help you in fulfilling your intermediary role by increasing your awareness, becoming more knowledgeable and more effective in communication with researchers and your privacy officer about GDPR-compliance.
