FAIR Data Stewards Basics Course

Are you a new data steward at one of the Health-RI hubs or their regional partners? Or have you been performing data stewardship tasks in the medical world for a while, but looking fora refresher on the FAIR principles and how to apply them in practice? Health-RI organises an annual introductory course on FAIR data stewardship in the healthcare domain!

The course, hosted by Health-RI (Jaarbeursplein 6, Utrecht), introduces you to the basic principles of research data management and FAIR data stewardship in the healthcare domain. The different task areas of data stewards are discussed and you will hear the perspective of a research funder on FAIR. Furthermore, the course covers technologies that facilitate the process of creating and maintaining FAIR research data, and showcase projects that have successfully implemented FAIR data stewardship. You will define your own learning goals and create a plan to increase awareness of FAIR in your institution. You can read more about this course on their website.

The course will take place on three consecutive days in June 2026. Participants are expected to attend all three days.
