RDNL User Panel
About the user panel
The RDNL user panel brings together research data professionals from across the Netherlands. They share their experience and provide feedback on the national training and community platform that RDNL is developing.
The panel helps us understand what data professionals need in their daily work. Members reflect on concrete topics such as the national curriculum, learning paths, training content and community profiles. Their input helps us test ideas, set priorities, and improve materials while they are still being developed.
The user panel is not a formal decision-making body. The feedback from the panel is considered and used to support the further development of the platform.

How the user panel works
The panel works on practical questions and concrete drafts. Depending on the topic, members may be invited to:
- Join an online discussion
- Review a draft or proposal
- Provide written feedback
- Share relevant developments from their organisation or network
- Help bring RDNL outputs to the wider community
There are no fixed meetings. Sessions are organised when feedback is useful, with no more than four online meetings per year. Each session has a clear topic, question and expected outcome.
Participation is voluntary. RDNL aims to work with a stable group of members who can contribute at key moments. Contributions may be recognised through an acknowledgement, contributorship or authorship, where appropriate.
Participants
The panel includes data professionals from different organisations, regions, roles and career stages. This range of perspectives helps RDNL connect its work to the realities of research data support across the Netherlands.
