Activities of Research Data Netherlands
The course Essentials 4 Data Support is an introductory Research Data Netherlands course for those who (want to) support researchers with storing, managing, archiving and sharing their research data. The online learning modules of the course are available for everyone on www.datasupport.researchdata.nl (English version is expected in May). Essentials 4 Data Support is a complete revision of the course Data Intelligence 4 Librarians, that was organized last year by 3TU.Datacentrum and DANS. The first round of the new course starts in April.
Additionally Research Data Netherlands organizes the biennial Dutch Data Prize. The Data Prize is a reward for researchers who unite, document and make research data of national and international importance accessible to science. There is a separate award for the humanities and social sciences and for the exact and technical sciences. The Data Prize 2014 will be awarded in September.
