Nominations for Dutch Data Prize 2014 announced01 September 2014
Six nominations for the Dutch Data Prize, initiated by Research Data Netherlands (RDNL), have been disclosed. The winners of the Data Prize 2014 will be announced at the awards ceremony on September 24th.
The nominations are in alphabetical order:
In the category of Humanities & Social Sciences
• Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam LASA

• Nederlandse Liederenbank / Dutch Song Database
In their deliberations the judges have weighed all of the Data Prize criteria. The extent to which the dataset invites further research, the accessibility of the data and their broad applicability were among the most important factors. The six nominated projects satisfy those criteria.
The Dutch Data Prize expresses appreciation for researchers or research groups that make an additional contribution to science by making their research data available for new or additional research. There is a prize for the humanities and social sciences as well as a prize for the exact and technical sciences.
If you would like to attend the awards ceremony in the afternoon of Wednesday September 24th, you are requested to register online. For more information about the Dutch Data Prize, the awards ceremony and the venue, please visit the RDNL website.
