Research Data Netherlands currently consists of 4TU.ResearchData, Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS) and SURF.
Within the Research Data Netherlands (RDNL) coalition the partners work closely together to secure access to and archiving of research data in the future.

RDNL consists of organizations that primarily perform back-office and technical basic infrastructure functions and that meet the guidelines of the CoreTrustSeal. The coalition is open to other organizations that are committed to data stewardship and meet these requirements, or are willing to meet them within a set period of time.
The focus is on organizations that have a back office function in the data stewardship process and hold a CoreTrustSeal or similar quality mark. This certification guarantees the sustainable availability of archived research data.
The added value of RDNL is that the collaborating organizations can jointly serve a broader field than other repositories and benefit from the pooling of knowledge, enabling us to better serve our users. In this manner, we are complementary in several respects in terms of the disciplines we serve, the services we offer and the variety of research data types on which we have expertise and make available.
As a partner of RDNL you are part of a national network, in which internal and external mutual cooperation is central. By using each other’s services and competences, overlap is avoided and transparency for prospective users is increased. Moreover, future cooperation in the field of basic infrastructure will yield benefits in terms of findability, integration and interchangeability of data as well as financially on the basis of economies of scale.
